Have you ever wanted to make use of the ‘image fonts’ such as windings? They are great for bullets as well as other uses.
I have and I usually find myself digging through them on by one typing the upper and lower case letters to see if there is an image to fit my needs.
I finally got organized and made myself a reference sheet to make things much quicker and easier next time I want to use them. One warning.. Most do not work on websites. This is why the reference below is in image format.
Bookmark (or print off) this post for easy reference next time you want to find what’s hidden in the wingding fonts.

Nice tool, Christy. I like OpenOffice.org’s “Insert Character” function which displays all the characters for easy selection.
Hi…
Well, i can see you wrote your post in october 2007, so maybe it’s kind of late. Nevertheless i put my own solution and i think it’s the right one
You can find the windows tool called “Map of characters”. You choose the font and it shows all the characters that it contains.
You can find it in System tools
Cheers
